Is there a way to efficiently spend gold on spells, and other services in the pathfinder HL set? I find it cumbersome to overpay for some consumable in order to make my pathfinder society character's gold match the paper version.

Go into the Journal tab, Then in the gold (gp) area type the amount of gold you want to spend like -70 and then hit earn and it will spend the gold.

I just use the Journal and put in a negative value, the click "add GP".
Evil wins because good rolls poorly .... or the players are not paying enough attention to the game. |

Nikmal: Do you know if this works for decimal values (so I can spend silver and copper too?)

What Anpumes said, there is a separate section for each monetary amount such as pp, gp, sp and cp. and the method I mentioned above will work for those as well so if you put -i1pp, -3gp, -4sp and -5cp and then hit the earn button it will subtract all the values entered in thei money fields as if you had spent them. You can also add money by putting a positive value there too

Nope has been that way for a long time. At least 2 years when I bought the program it was there.
Some days I don't know why I bother to chew through the restraints. |

I'm relatively certain that the different coin denominations were in 3.5 and have been carried over from that system, since Pathfinder was split off.
