Over on github, while working a ticket, I was approached and asked that we possibly explore mimicking the pathfinder adjustments for spells. I can see that the thread for this in pathfinder was started by one of the devs: http://forums.wolflair.com/showthread.php?t=11561 but I personally don't have pathfinder so I'm not sure what this entails, or if this would require LW to open up some tables for us in 5e?
Regardless, I know that many of the adjustments we have now can be used to mimic spell effects such as AC bonuses, attack and damage bonuses. I think we're lacking resistances and immunities, which should be easy enough though, but I'm sure there are other odder spell adjustments that might come along. Thoughts? |

Spells in 5e are largely just informational. They don't really do anything other than display neatly for us to read. I suspect LWD will need to change this significantly once HLO becomes a thing. They have talked about the ability for a player to use HLO to cast a spell on another player using the tool. So for this to work the ways 5e spells (all of them ) would need to be changed to make that possible.
So I suspect there is going to be change required here. On quite a large scale that I for one am not looking forward to.
