Variable Power with a Power Configuration that has an attack power (Damage) does not properly apply power level limits when printing if it is not checked.

For Example:
Hero PL10
Add Variable Power Rank 3:
Add a Power Configuration: Power: Damage 12
Add Hero Fighting 10

When printing with the above variable configuration checked it prints as:
Damage +10 DC 25

When printing with the above Variable configuration not checked it prints as:
Damage +10 DC 27

Notice the second attack breaks PL limits.

It's done that since 2E. I think the idea is that different power configurations could be combined and exceed PL, so it only checks the power levels on the checked powers to avoid spurious warnings.

Chances are during a game the player intends to make it active at some point and use the power and is going to use the incorrect numbers.

{nods} Yeah, but it's a difficult situation. Do you include a warning if one power causes it? If more than one power at once causes it? If one power would put you over PL, but turning on another would put you back under (defensive/toughness penalties)?

There's a similar issue with things like Growth/Shrinking/Density... personally, I'm more bothered by that the character sheet and BBCode output still don't list details of the Variable power slots (they do list a bit more than they used to, and the attacks show up now).

I was also disappointed that the details of a variable configuration are not printed when when it is not checked.
