So I'm still learning the authoring kit but I've decided the best way to learn is to do so I've decided to take on a simple system. Teenagers from Outerspace by R. Talsorian Games.
It's a comedy game that basically takes place in an anime high school. (like Urusei Yatsura or Ranma 1/2) There are 4 races: Humans, Near-Humans, Not-very-near-humans, and real weirdies The game has 8 attributes: Smarts, Relationship with Parents, Driving, Cool, Bod, Luck, Looks and Bonk all are ranged from 1-6. There are things called "Knacks" kinda like skills as they have a linked attribute and they can have levels ranged from 1-6. You get so many at character creation (1 - 6 points worth) and adding new ones or advancnig others later cost 1 xp per level to add. There are powers some are human only (easily handled by a prereq) but most are available to everyone. There are also gadgets that cost money ($). That pretty much sums up the system. I think it's going to be fairly simple to implement. |

Well I think I'm about 80% done, if anyone wants to check it out you can add this secondary source:
http://andrewd2.com/herolab/tfos.xml What is left is: Creating Custom Knack that will allow the user to enter a name and select the linked ability. Creating Custom Trait that lets the user type in a name. Get the Gadgets to properly be bought Remove the character points from character creation. |
