so i just pulled out my illuminati cards from the
dusty corners of the back of my closet and some friends and i have been playing again. i was looking around for a deck management system and came across card vault. to save myself some time, has anyone done any work on building data files for illuminati:new world order? if not i will probably start on it but since i have never done any xml, it may take a while __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? To my knowledge, there is no one currently working on INWO data files. If
you choose to develop the data files, the first step would be to start compiling all the spoiler data. In fact, if you are comfortable with spreadsheets or databases and hesitant about writing CV data files, you might consider accumulating all the data into one of those formats first. Once you have all the spoiler data together, we can help with getting the data files generated based on that spoiler data. If you do opt to develop the data files yourself, the newest version of the Authoring Kit includes a graphical tool that makes it relatively easy to enter individual cards. The only hurdle is developing the definition file, which still has to be done as an XML file. However, the definition file is a lot easier than the data files in many ways, so it hopefully will be a tractable task for you. :-) Thanks, Rob At 02:02 PM 8/5/2003 -0700, you wrote: >so i just pulled out my illuminati cards from the >dusty corners of the back of my closet and some >friends and i have been playing again. i was looking >around for a deck management system and came across >card vault. to save myself some time, has anyone done >any work on building data files for illuminati:new >world order? if not i will probably start on it but >since i have never done any xml, it may take a while --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rob Bowes (rob@wolflair.com) (559) 658-6995 Lone Wolf Development www.wolflair.com ------------------------ Yahoo! yeah, i saw the cvedit for card vault. most of the spoiler info i
should be able to grab from online. there are a few sites still operational that have the full card text. so, the hard part will be the definition file and making sure i include all the neccessary info. thanks --- In cardvault@yahoogroups.com, Rob Bowes <rob@w...> wrote: > To my knowledge, there is no one currently working on INWO data files. Woo hoo!!! INWO was on my list to do, but with lots o' stuff going
on lately I'm having trouble finishing up what I've got for the Preview Edition of Quest for the Grail. Plus I'd like to get Redemption started (still gathering info on the new Kings expansion). I'd be very happy to see it when you get it done.
