Can anyone explain to me what Loop Friendly is, and how it's supposed to work?

I don't think it is anything you have to do, specifically.

Let's say you have a plot that allows for one "giver" to assign the PCs multiple missions, and the order in which they are done is not important. In that case, you can have a "loop" where the plot flows from the "giver" to each "mission" then back to the "giver".

The old auto-layout did not always do well with something like that, so I take it to mean this change improves that.

It also helps with aesthetics of the plot screen when you have t two or more plot paths that will converge on the same plot points. For instance you can take the high road and have a set of encounters or the low road and have a different set of encounters, but both roads lead to a village with a third set of encounters.

It's a "diagonal" layout with rounded lines that prevents arrows from crossing each other and going wonky when you have looped relationships like:

[A] <-> [B] <-> [C] <-> [A]
