proxy cards and artist

Looking through the documentation for generating proxy cards because I am trying to print artist's name on the card. Pulling the text using:
text = tag_name("artist")

didn't work. Nor did pulling "artistid"

Is there a way to pull artist name from the card?

I don't believe we output the artist details in saved rosters, and so
there's no way for you to print them out on proxy cards. We didn't think
anyone would want to use them - for what purpose are you printing them out?

To make all the information that is on the card printed on the proxy and to give credit to the artist who did the artwork even though the art is not shown on the proxy.

Since proxies are handled as a standard custom extension, CV uses the saved
deck as the information source for printing proxies. When we designed CV,
the exact artwork didn't seem important to the creation of a deck, so no
artwork-related information is actually saved in the deck. That's why
there's no artist name available.

If this is really important to add, we could do so. We've been working on
mapping out what will/won't make it into CV 1.6, and we COULD add this to
the list. The gotcha is that we've already got a bunch of stuff planned and
a tight timeline in which to get it done, so it would likely force us to
drop something else in exchange.

If you feel this is really important, please say so and we can look into
adding the artist info to saved decks/proxies instead of something else in
V1.6. Otherwise, we'll put this on the todo list for a future release.

To me it isn't a "critical" thing. Since I and most others (in not all) would rather have more important features and/or fixes done, I will patiently wait for the day that artist information is saved to the deck (if ever). If it does, I can update the proxy generation script and release an update.
