I am wondering how you do that? I am thinking about making a prestige class that adds a 3rd domain for clerics.

This is something on our "to do" list, but unfortunately it's not
possible right now. Sorry

Whilst on this topic, I have a prestige class that adds a domain to non-Clerics (Druids if playing with just core, but is aimed at all Divine casters) - it's less important than the extra domain for clerics, those are much more widely spread (I think there's even a feat that does this).

Interesting. So the prestige class adds a domain to the primary class,
which can then take the normal amount of domain spells?

Some do this, whilst others base it off the prestige class level - I think I have one that gains Earth domain spells as if a cleric of the level the Character has in the PrC.

There is one in Eberron where you gain one every level.

There are several prestige classes like this. In almost all cases, the classes must be spellcasting classes (although I think that there might be one or two exceptions).

The granted power of the Domain is always granted. For non-Clerics, they may substitute a domain spell for one of their spells prepared per level per day, but only one (for spontaneous casters, they may cast one domain spell per level per day).

None of this is OGL (as far as I know), just rules clarifications from Complete Divine.
