I recently got an iPad so I could use Hero Lab instead of paper character sheets, and at this point I've just about got the hang of inputting my characters using Hero Lab. The next step is to figure out how to author custom content. I'm pretty intuitive, and I learn quickly by adapting other people's work, so using the Hero Lab Editor's Copy feature has been easy so far. I put together a test item (the Acrimony Veil from the Pathfinder Society scenario In Wrath's Shadow) and it seems to work fine with Hero Lab on my computer, but my iPad rejected the item and said it was "orphaning" it. Is the iPad version just not compatible with custom material yet, or is there something I'm doing wrong?

It's a Wondrous Item and I set the following:
  • the name to "Acrimony Veil"
  • the unique ID to "ioAcrVeil"
  • uniqueness to "no"
  • the summary text
  • the description
  • the cost to 13500
  • the weight to 1
  • the caster level to 9
  • the caster school to "evocation"
  • Can be equipped to yes
  • Appears as Wondrous Item to yes
  • Available When Equipped to yes
  • Show in Tracked Resources List to yes
  • Base charges to 3
  • Usage Period to "/day"
  • Castable Spells has a bootstrap for Rage (spRage3) = 1/day (Leave Checked)
