The download is roughly 30MB. The resulting install is roughly 100MB.

This assumes you have the .Net 4.0 runtime installed already, which is probably the case but not guaranteed. If you don't, then it could be another 100MB or so.

I went to the early access page and entered my email address but it won't accept it. I only have one address so it must be the right one. Perhaps I did a typo when I entered the address into the form - I don't know. My name is Shane White and I backed at the $65 level. My address is Australian with .au on the end of it.

Yep. That's the problem. It seems your upgrade was logged separately from the main report spreadsheet, as were a number of other backers that upgraded. So you haven't been added to the the authorized list yet.

I just flagged the problem to our server person. She'll get this sorted out in the morning. Once it's handled, she'll post in the Early Access forum here to let everyone know.
