From looking at things, it looks like no one ever found a good way to implement skill specializations in the SW programming, did they? Its unfortunate, since some settings (Interface Zero comes to mind) really want to go that route, and the program is much less useful for those without it.

Edit: I see there's theoretically supposed to be an IZ version somewhere down the line (apparently August was bandied about at some time, but since its dependent on the SFC, which is late, I suspect that's overly optimistic), so I'm guessing there'll be some indication how to go about it after that.

The temporary fix is to make edges that are worth 0.5.

Evil wins because good rolls poorly .... or the players are not paying enough attention to the game.
