Just updated to 8.1, and now cannot launch HeroLab.

I get the message
Resource 'tooldisab' - Bitmap file could not be loaded: C:\ProgramData\HeroLab\data\pathfinder\tools_disab led.bmp

with the option to load into recovery mode so that I may correct any errors.

I select OK and it compiles for a moment, and then I get the same error again, without the option to go into recovery mode; and this time when I select OK it just returns to the select system page.

Any ideas?

Turns out that that particular bmp is now 140Kb in size (as opposed to the more normal 1 or 2) and cannot be opened by any software I possess.

Download the latest Pathfinder game files again and let them install. That usually fixes this kind of error.

Otherwise manually download the Pathfinder file from HERE and then double click on the pathfinder.hl file to start the installer again.

The manual download and reinstall worked. Thanks.
