At what point in the install process does it crash? Have you tried closing Hero Lab, going to our web site (http://www.wolflair.com/) and downloading the new version from there and installing it manually? Please give that a try. I was seeing the same behavior. Herolab would crash as soon as I clicked the OK button when it said it needed to Restart Herolab in order to process the upgrade. The download seemed to complete successfully. I am on XP SP 2. I manually upgraded and it worked fine.

The latest upgrade was crashing right after I pressed 'ok' for the restart. I would get a Windows crash pannel asking me if I wanted to report it.
I downloaded the update and installed it manually and things worked fine. |

This is the result of an issue that we fixed in version 1.1b. You might get this error while upgrading to v1.1b, but it should be fixed from then on.
