I really don't know what has happened here. What I'd recommend is that you send all the files to someone else, have them fix them, and then wipe your HL, deleting all the files. Then the other person can send the files back to you and hopefully whatever is wrong will have been worked out.

This sounds like something is royally stuffed up with your configuration. I'm not sure what, but it's something major. The steps that I've outlined above are steps that Colen, Mathias, and I utilize regularly during our development of data files, so I know they work. And the fact that Lawfulg is having zero problems simply reinforces this.

I recommend that you do the following, just to be safe:

1. Copy the contents of the HL "data" folder somewhere else for reference, along with all of your saved portfolios.
2. Uninstall HL.
3. Delete the entire folder and sub-folders where HL has been installed.
4. Install HL from scratch again.
5. Copy your saved portfolios back.
6. Copy your user-created data files back into place.

This will give you a clean start, since something is definitely messed up. This might take you an hour to complete, but it sounds like you are spending ten times that running into problems that shouldn't be occurring.
