RW is reliant on functionality provided by .NET so until those key pieces are available on OSX, methinks it's dead in the water on the Mac side. There was a recent-ish release of .NET code which caused several to be hopeful but it appears the pieces needed were not included.

OS X support is #1 on my own wishlist... Realm Works does run via Parallels and such, but it's a bit clunky. A native version would be awesome. Here's hoping the situation improves in the future.

One of the main reasons I chose to be an Alpha Wolf was the Mac client. It's absence has been disappointing, but as a developer I understand the potential issues with porting a heavy .NET application to OS X. The pool of OS X developers is also much smaller when compared to .NET developers so finding talent, at an affordable rate, is likely harder too.

Any port would (sensibly) be to an O/S neutral tool, so removing the dependencies.

You can run it in a VM or Boot Camp, it works mostly fine. There are sometimes perfomance issues, but that's kinda expected when you run it in a virtual environment.

I'm using a 2011 Mac Mini with Win8.1 Bootcamp to run games.

I know it's not a real OS X solution, but it's better than having to purchase a new machine for it.
