I'm having the same issue, trying to export character portfolios as pdf. I've tried the workaround and keep getting the same error. I'm going to attempt reinstalling and see if that makes any change.

Depending on your OS version there may be PDF printing built in; I usually just use Win10's Microsoft Print to PDF, but PDF24 is good too.
