New BFG File maintainer?

If there is no current full time maintainer for the BFG files, I would like to offer my services. I know Warmonger dosen't have the time anymore and deathlynx prefers not to be the full time maintainer.

My work on the 40K Space Marine file is nearly done until the Black Templar codex is released, so I have some time. I've already fleshed out most of the Imperial/Space Marine fleets, and a few more of the Chaos.

Don't intend to undermine you HakujinGrande, but I also offer my services up if they are needed. I was the author and maintaner of the v2.x BFG datafiles. Possibly we could work together.

Okay, it's almost official. I have taken over as maintainer for the BFG files. I am finishing up the rewrite of the datafiles that Warmonger started. I have almost all the units in, including some experimental units. I hope to have a beta version posted soon with all the units and options, and then finish all the fleet list rules and validations after that.

I know you're waiting for 3.1 to come out to update the files but do you have a copy of my quick fix for the originals? Unfortunately the original files crash with v3.1 so it's going to need an update patch as soon as it comes out...Since you're the new maintainer you'll have to post them to the site to fill the gap...

For which originals? A file version number would help. Or, if you could send me your files, so I can filx them up until the rewite is complete. The only set of files that I am currently operating on is the rewrite started by Warmonger. Sorry, but finishing this up is taking a while lot longer than I originally estimated, but I just have to clean up the Tyrannids and Tau, and I should have another beta release for testing.

The original BFG files for AB 3.0...To the best of my knowledge they're still the ones on the web links (bfg1.1 I think...maybe 1.2 but I haven't thought much of them since writing a quick fix for 3.1)...

I know... I posted it up there. It should also be available through AB's update mechanism.

Basically, it's 1.2 fixed to run on AB 3.1.

Cool...1.3 also had a quick last minute (Beta 3.1 v 84) adjustment that AB automatically does in order to deal with problems for another system (40K I think)...It wasn't in the earlier 1.2 file...

Just wanted to make sure everyone had a hold over until you can get your files out...
