How excactly can one convert something with this program. Downloaded and installed it, but so far I didn't see how it works out to "morph" old 2.2 data into 3.X
A special conversion tool was written to facilitate converting data files from V2 to V3. This tool was written when V3 was first release and intended for use at that time. As such, the tool make NO use of any of the cool stuff added to the engine in V3.1. So using the conversion tool may be helpful, but it will likely leave a moderate amount of work left to be done.

You can find the tool most easily by going to the main page of our website at www.wolflair.com and scrolling down to the bottom of the news entries. There you'll find an entry with a link to download the conversion tool. Within the Zip file will be some basic documentation on how to use the tool.

Please note that there were some major changes from V2 to V3. As such, some of the mechanisms used within V2 have to modeled in a radically different way within V3. The net result is that the converter is intened to generate V3 data files that "get the job done" - NOT ones that "do the job well". There will likely be a number of places where you'll want to re-write pieces of what the converter generates to yield a much better solution that will be much easier to maintain and evolve going forward.

Hope this helps,
Rob
