Portraits with Transparency

Unless I'm doing something wrong, it doesn't seem that Hero Lab properly supports PNG with alpha transparency 100% correctly? It embeds them fine in the portfolio but...

1. In the Personal tab, transparency shows as "black"

2. If you choose Portfolio -> User image Size -> Shrink images... it replaces any transparency with black.

Is this by design or can this be fixed?

We don't have any support for transparent portraits, I'm afraid.

For transparent PNGs, the best idea is to save them with an appropriate background color using an image editor, then load them into Hero Lab.

OK, I can deal for now. I will just remember not to use the Shrink image feature. It seems you save them in the portfolio just fine at least.
