My advice (which is how I learned) is to examine the files for an existing game you're familiar with (W40K in my case). Think about the rules you want to implement in AB, and think of a set of files that already implements them, and look to see how they did it. Admittedly, I also asked a lot of questions, and Rob Bowes (AB's programmer) and Colen McAlister (the original 40K files author) were very helpful. I guess you could call this question one. I want to know how to create my own data file i think it is called. Is it possible for me to setup my own data base so i can in essnce have totally different options. basically this is the conflict i see before me. I want to create a new game so i go to new, but it gives me preexisting options for lets say warhammer or that tutorial thing. I want to be able to start my own, is this possible and what do i need or what do i do to start my own file? thanx, i might be totally off the target but its what i've found, thanx for the help mathias. --- In armybuilder@y..., "Mathias Gehl" <mgehl@c...> wrote: > I'll help with specific questions. > > My advice (which is how I learned) is to examine the files for an > existing game you're familiar with (W40K in my case). That allows you to set up the rules you want (Construction Kit Manual, pg 11).
