I don't think you'll have any luck, Zarlor; I just pulled all both the XCOM and Broken Earth data files out (the only homemade ones in there right now because of the reinstall), and tried creating a creature, and had a Werewolf come out at Pace 7 (they're Pace 8), so its got to be a problem with the program, not my datafile.

It'd be nice if a couple people could check and see if its doing it on your copies too, just as data points. Its possible you might not have noticed it since it seems to be a pretty new problem.

Basically, just do the following:

1. Create a new character: make it a creature.
2. Pick a couple different creatures from the standard list, ideally ones that you know the Pace on.
3. Look at the listed pace. Ideally pull up a couple different ones. See if they match up. Then pull up the first one you did, and see if it changed.

This will let me know if its a problem with the program in general (i.e. a bug) or some specific problem to the installation on my machine when I talk to the Wolflair guys.

Thanks CC. Like I said, this is probably caused by something recent, but I don't recall when the last SW update was.

OK, I found the issue here. The fix will come out with the update accompanying the Sci-Fi Companion. I'm almost code-complete, and after that basically just need to finish the data entry for Creatures and write Summaries.

Thanks, CC. I was going crazy trying to figure out what in the world I could have done in my datafile to cause it.
