The Create panel button in the editor on the class editor has vanished. Hero lab version 3.5 updated.

The update has also broken a few custom classes that worked before.

Specifically the complete arcane feats, complete arcane spells, warmage and wujen custom files written by Lawfulg.

All of the error messages refer to non existent things in bootstraps???

To make the program work i've had to remove the custom data files from the D20 folder one by one to see which are broken.

The create panel was removed, because there's now a universal class panel that will work for any class. Hero Lab now ignores any class panels that were defined for classes.

I can't help you fix the classes without quite a lot more detail about what's wrong. Some of the details of how custom classes are designed were altered in v3.5 to improve the process of designing a class. We tried to avoid breaking existing classes, but we couldn't think of every possible problem that could come up.

My copies are still working. I could re-send them to you. I am also finished with Duskblade if you like.

Cheers Lawful_g that would be great.

I don't understand what broke in the custom files but it revolved a lot about bootstraps and non existent things.

After trying to hunt down the errors I gave up as nothing seemed to load.

Eh, I dunno. On updating to the most recent release the Dark Ice Template broke a tiny bit. The vulnerability to fire ability you created for it was overlapping with a newly added ability of the same thing (probably due to the addition of Improved Familiars). I had to delete your special, and then that worked fine. Unfortunately some other races of mine had to be adjusted because the immunity to paralysis unique ID went from "xImmPara" to "xImmParaly".

Anyway, I have e-mailed you the files. Just delete the old ones and put these in and I hope everything will be hunky dory, but tell me if you have any further problems.

Yes I had to delete the Vulnerability to fire special from the Dark ice creature too!

However the files you sent still crash I think this is the Complete Arcane feat file that causes these errors!

The data files could not be loaded due to errors. Hero Lab will now attempt to load them in recovery mode. Once loaded, you can access the editor as normal to correct any errors.

The following errors occurred:

Thing 'fDraLegBlu' - Undefined tag 'cSorSpells' referenced in bootstrap
Thing 'fDraLegBlu' - Undefined tag 'cSorSpells' referenced in bootstrap

Curious as the Draconic Legacy feat data doesn't have cSorSpells in the bootstrap fields! Once removed from the D20 Data folder hero lab loads but with another error!

This was from the Warmage class I presumed it is because a feat from the Complete Arcane is missing.

Hero Lab was forced to stop compilation after the following errors were detected:

Syntax error in 'eval' script for Thing 'cWMaEdge' (Eval Script '#1') on line 2
-> Tag 'HasFeat.fExEdge' not defined

The improved familiars included ice mephits, which have vulnerability to fire. Sorry about changing xImmParaly. When I came across a need for it in the improved familiars file, I looked for it in helper_specials.dat - didn't find it - so I copied my Pathfinder version back to the d20 files. xImmPara was in one of the adventure path files (it shouldn't have been - it's a generic special - I should have moved it to the helper_specials file). So, I didn't think about what changing the ID would do to existing things.
