I want to apologize for my really vague question in advance... ops:
I built a definition file and data file for the Epic Battles TCG. When I tried to load it up, I got the usual errors caused by typos, etc. After fixing them, the files seemed to compile (as in "I succeeded in eliminating all the compile error messages") except that CV crashes after it seems to be trying to use the compiled files. Is there any method/tool I can use to determine exactly why CV is crashing? CV is crashing without any error messages or dialog boxes, so I'm in the dark on this one. I'm sure I must have defined something incorrectly, I'm just not sure how to find out what's crashing me. Thanks for your time! |

Whoops, nevermind! I just figured it out. I decided to start at my definition file and deleting "extra" parameters to see if I could make the module work using as many "default" parameters as possible. I finally found the offending line:
<ruleset id="standard" name="Standard" visible="no" default="yes"/> This was my only ruleset. Apparently, making it not visible was less than brilliant. Once I made it visible, it worked like a charm. Thanks for letting me think out loud! P.S. The Epic Battles files should be ready for initial release once I figure out validation. |
