I'd like to be able to create a category that has a section header and then multiple subsections under it. The section title is nothing more than a title.

For instance:
1. Character Info
1.1 Physical Attributes
Height Snippet
Weight Snippet
Hair Colour snippet
1.2 Mental Attributes
IQ Snippet
Personality Snippet

In that example there is no reason for there to be a snippet in the "1. Character Info" section. Even with no snippets defined, a blank text snippet shows up.

I can remove it manually in each Topic that uses this Category, so it's obviously not required for the data structure.

This is either a bug report ("Even with no snippets defined, a blank text snippet is created in every section and subsection of a category") or a request to have the ability to create a section with no snippets.

You also get a Text snippet if you make a category with a section that only has non-Text snippets. It was annoying when I tried to make a section with only Tags.

So yes for sections without Text! :)

And +1 from me!

Sleet was enjoying a tasty beverage at his local tavern, when a Tarrasque showed up in the local area. He managed to valiantly get on it's back and ride it. How he did it is a mystery to this day...

You can remove all empty snippets with a going to the hammer and wrench in the toolbar (or F7 Content Pane options) and then select Quick edit content. There you can either remove all empty snippets or all empty snippets and sections. It will then remove them from the active topic.

BTW If there are subsections it will not remove the top section.

But aside from that I agree that this should be an option. So a +1.

One weird thing I discovered later: if you make a second non-text snippet, Realm Works removes the default text snippet.

I haven't tried every combination, but it works if you create a Topic/Article using a category with a section with a single Tag snippet and you add another of the same type.
