I have long strived to keep my personal life private so most if not all of you are unaware that I was in need of an organ. Over the weekend I finally received what I needed, have been discharged from the hospital and it appears everything went surprisingly well.
Now for my plea, for everyone else who still needs organs would you all please take the steps necessary to become organ donors. In the US it is as simple as registering as such the next time you renew your driver's license and making sure your family knows and respects your wishes. my Realm Works videos https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZU...4DwXXkvmBXQ9Yw |

Already donated a kidney to my mom, glad you got your transplant, I would be an organ donor but I have Diabetes, so in Canada, you are prevented from that and donating your body to science

IDK stupid gov't regulations, ran into a serious problem with it a few years back when my uncle died and requested his body to science. Gov't said no can do, we don't wan't his diseased corpse smelling up our clean lab! OK maybe I embellished a little.

Most of the bodies donated to science are used by medical students as they disassemble it to learn about anatomy.
They prefer that the bodies be as "normal" as possible so that students get an idea what the structures in an average body looks like. |

My best friend's wife died of metastatic cancer. she donated her body to science. There was no issue with American medical students chopping her corpse up. I've pre donated my, seriously, mangled corpse to science as well.
