Version 5.2 can now be downloaded from the automatic updates mechanism within Hero Lab.

This update adds Faiths of Purity - this is now a part of the Golarion #1 package (the same package that already contains the Inner Sea Primer). It also adds Pathfinder #44, and has some bug fixes.

Here's the change list, copied from the FAQ:

New Releases!
  • Content from Faiths of Purity is now available in the "Golarion #1" package!
Special Thanks
  • Thanks to ShadowChemosh for adding many new spell adjustments.
Enhancements & Changes
  • The d20pro exporter now includes details of which skills are trained.
  • Added content from Faiths of Purity
  • Added content from Pathfinder #44
  • Spell adjustments have been added fro spells from the Inner Sea World Guide and from Orcs of Golarion.
Bug Fixes
  • Custom/Magic Armor was not properly calculating its ACP.
  • The Azlanti, Pureblood ethnicity no longer grants +2 to a selected ability score, on top of the +2 to every ability score it offers.
  • The Magus' Spell Blending ability was not functioning properly.
  • The Magus' Wand Wielder ability was missing.
  • Lycanthropes were not gaining their natural attacks while transformed.
  • The Half-Dragon template should always 1d6 breath weapon damage, even for a character with no racial HD.
  • The Plant Domain's Wooden Fists ability was not including the Wisdom bonus in its uses/day.
  • Clerics of Pharasma were not gaining the Pharasma-Specific Death and Souls domains.
  • The Fighter (Weapon Master)'s Weapon Training ability was not increasing the crit multiplier of the chosen weapon.
  • Animal Companions should not get the skill bonuses that normal members of that race receive.
  • The Frost Worm race was missing its bite attack.
  • The Shadow race should not have a natural AC.
  • The abilities for the Wizard's Phantasm school had their levels swapped.
  • Fixed many Oracle Mysteries that were not gaining efective levels properly from the Rage Prophet prestige class.
  • The ability score restoration amounts listed for the Paladin (Warrior of the Holy Light)'s Power of Light ability were incorrect.
  • The Barbarian's Brawler ability was not granting a damage bonus to the extra unarmed strike attack granted by Improved Brawler.
  • The Alchemist's Mutagen was listing its duration as 1 minute/level, or 10 hours/level after Persistant Mutagen, instead of 10 minutes/level, and 1 hour/level later on.
Data File Authoring
  • Each spell now has an identity tag from the ClsAllowSp group. If this tag is assigned to a class (before Post-Levels/10000), the class will explicitly be allowed to select that spell for its spellbook or normal spell list. This is used for cases like the Red Mantis Assassin, which gains extra spells it can select from at certain levels.
  • Each attribute now has an identity tag from the AttrHP group. If this tag is assigned to a class level, monster class level, template, or race (before Post-Attributes/10000), that thing will search all the attributes whose tags it has received (AttrHP.aCON - Constitution - is already present on all those things), and will add the largest bonus among those attributes to its hit points per hit die. If you want to make the thing always use the new attribute, even if the character's Con modifier is higher than that attribute's modifier, you will need to delete AttrHP.aCON when you assign the new tag. Note that deleting the AttrHP.aCON tag without assigning a new tag will mean that the bonus HP are not adjusted by any attribute's modifier (so, +0 HP). This is used for when something allows a class, a race, or a template to use the bonus of a different attribute instead of using the character's CON bonus to determine its HP.

So JJ's latest post now says a human half-dragon would have no breath weapon.

I am trying to edit a monster to have HP based on Cha and Con (if one can add the two in a tag) but I cannot find the AttrHP tag on any class or in fact anywhere to change it!

Alternatively i can use the [tBonusHP] field, but then the cHPBonus field attached to the class still only relies on the Con, and i cannot find any way to access that field to change it via a script. As such it shows the bonus of only the Con, and it would be nice for it to reflect both bonuses. Any ideas on how to do this?

You need to add the AttrHP.aCHA tag to the monster race you're creating, in Race -> Race -> Tags in the editor.

Thanks - I actually found a different way of doing (by finding an ability the HL community has already put together) it as it is a specific ability for 1 character.
