I want to be able to purchase enchanted arrows individually. So I tried adding just one arrow. I created a new unique dat file and made a unique arrow id. Now when I try to add 10 enchanted arrows I get 10 seperate entries that do not stack and with no description. I can not figure out what I am doing incorrectly, any help would be appreciated. I can send the dat file if that would be helpful.

Thank you,
Scott

I think you need to give your arrows the tag "Helper.GearUseQty".
That should make it stack the arrows when you add 10 of them at the same time.

Hope this helps,

The "Helper.GearUseQty" tag was already included, so it still does not work. I have tried a few other things but still unable to make it work correctly.
Let me see if I can clearify the troubles. I copied the "Thing" ammunition for use as magic weapon, Arrow. I changed the thing id, the name, gweight=.06, gZizeCost=0.01 and gQtyMult=1. That is all the changes I made. When I run the program and create multiple silver arrows, lets say 4. I choose enter 4 into "Number to add" = 4, with "Custom/Magic weapon" highlighted, the select add or add/close, then choose "Single Arrow" select, "Alchemical Silver" select, Create custom weapon OK, the program then creates an silver arrow correctly and 3 other with "custom magic item", no stats, no description.

I am very puzzled. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I also notice the cost for 50 arrows is listed as 50gp, I think it is supposed to be 2gp 5sp.

Thank you,
Scott

After trying different combinations of magical weapons and such. I now believe the problem is not my dat file but HL. The problem I listed above happened with or with out my dat file.

I notice when you buy muliple weapons the number of weapons is not listed in the weapon menu, but is correctly shown in the character sheet.

Thank you,
Scott

Ah, it's a custom magic weapon? That might be a bug with the handling
of quantities and custom weapons, I'll look into it.

I couldn't find any definitive source in the SRD for the cost of
single arrows, or the cost of 50 arrows for that matter, so I think I
extrapolated from some other weapon. Where do you get the 2.5gp
figure from? If it's correct I'd like to get it changed.

From the rsrd

Martial Weapons Cost
Arrows (20) 1 gp

1 arrow would be : 0.05 GP = 0.5 SP = 5 CP
1 Masterwork arrow would be: 0.35 GP = 3.5 SP = 35 CP

That help?

Yeah, that is pretty much what I did. so when you multiply the 5CP by 50 you get 250CP or 2.5GP. Now just to be nit pick and this is the thing that bugs me how TSR list the cost of arrows. The cost of 20 arrows 1GP also includes a quiver at no weight or cost for the quiver. So I just do not include the quiver in the cost calculation.

Now the cost of Master work arrows again a foggy issue because I do not quite see how TSR calculated the costs.
From the PHB 3.5
Quote:
The masterwork quality adds 300 gp to the cost of a normal weapon (or 6 gp to the cost of a single unit of ammunition, such as an arrow). For example, a masterwork bastard sword costs 335 gp, while a set of 10 masterwork arrows costs 70 gp.
So you see the calculaton for MW arrow is off by the PBH. Very irratating, at least to me!

I am going to see if I can get an official cost from WOTC.
