I'm entering a module (pathfinder) and have got into a pickle
trying to figure out how I would cut the following text into various snippets
as well as what sort of snippets.

Treasure: Barman keeps several doses of ale poisoned
with lich dust behind the counter (a number of doses equal
to the number of PCs + 4). The other bottles of alcohol are
for display only and contain sewer water decorated with
various coloring agents.

How would you go around doing it?

Are the players using the player version? If not don't feel the need to split them up.

What I sometimes do is adding a text snipppet and put the skill checks in the GM description attached to it. I would order in the likelyhood of being discovered.

E.g.
Snippet1:
GMPart: PC checks the bar display...
bottles of alcohol are for display only and contain sewer water decorated with various coloring agents.

Snippet2:
GMPart: Perception test +8, (a number of doses equal to the number of PCs + 4
Text part: several doses of ale poisoned with lich dust behind the counter

If the treasure would be found together usually (you text has no skill check or similar) I would place it into a single snippet.

Interesting, I'll try it out.

Ok if the players are not using the player version and you have no personal need to split it then don't. Realm Works topics with less snippets load quicker so performance can be improved by reducing individual snippets where possible.
