Some problem

Spent all day yesterday making up special abilities, a racial subtype, and three races. Saved it repeatedly and tested it every time fixing problems as I went.

Opened it up this moring and HL wouldn't load my work. Was saying something about a improper unique idea, yet when I closed it they were saved and fine.

Any ideas what this could be now that I have started over?

Often, the improper unique Id error comes from making a copy of something in order to study how it works - you have to remember to delete that copy before you try compiling your files, because when you make a copy, the name of the copy includes a "?", which is an invalid character for unique Ids.

It dawns on me looking through the broken file that I have a link for a custom ability that I attempted to create and then deleted, but didn't remove the like in the race. I am thinking that caused an error as the file was saved in this fashion.

Well here is something to learning through mistakes. Back to the drawing board.

Did I mention I love this soft ware?
