How do I create a custom familiar in the editor?

I'm trying to add an Ice Elemental Familiar to the options in Hero Lab. I can't find any option to add a "Familiar" or a "Monster" in the editor. How do I do this, preferably copying the small Water Elemental as a base?

I believe it's under Minion/Hireling

I can see some of the familiars there, but the "Improved Familiar" options (like small air elementals) aren't there. Where are the other ones?

My bad, under race when you create something there is a checkbox for "Arcane Familiar" and spots to fill in the level requirements, etc.

Sorry to jump in here -- I'm wondering about this too. I've done this, and it looks like I was able to create the race (Nosoi Psychopomp in my case). However, it doesn't show up under the list of available Improved Familiars, even though other options do. I thought I might have to save/test the new record, but that didn't resolve the issue.

I answered my own question. Here's what I did.

I went into "Sources" at the bottom of the Race tab. Carrion Crown was already checked. I also checked "Ultimate Magic Familiars" and recompiled the data file. My Nosoi was then visible for selection as an Improved Familiar.

To get the version of the Nosoi that we entered, turn on the Carrion Crown adventure path.
