I'm trying to create a custom Cleric archetype for my Cleric of Besmara that grants a familiar in exchange for one of the Cleric's domains. In the editor, I've managed to add a familiar, but I can't seem to limit the Cleric to one domain. I can remove domains entirely by checking "Remove Custom Ability," but what I want to do is change the number of domains from the normal two to one.

Thanks!

3 entries above "Remove Custom Abilities" is "Modified Custom Ability". That's where you can alter the number of each ability you get at each level. In this case, it's very simple - enter a -1 in the first row, and nothing else.

If you have time, could you tell me how to do what you did to remove a domain and add a familiar. I'm creating a Cleric of Besmara as well. Thank you.

The above was done using the Editor and he created a brand new Archetype. This is actually a pretty easy thing to start with actually. I would recommend taking a stab at it.

You can watch some Intro Videos to editor and I recommend the first two to get a hand on starting it and using the editor. Then half the info you need is in this post. The other is setting a Familiar which is a drop down box on the Archetype called "New Companion Type".

You'll have to look at Wizard to see the names of abilities, but there are also 3 class specials that have to be added to the archetype to gain all the abilities of the familiar
