This may not be exactly on point for this thread, but I'm new to the forum and this thread caught my attention. In his original post, Magickman indicated he was running an epic campaing. HL has no problem advancing characters into and through epic progressions?

Right now Epic stuff isn't supported yet - it's one of the things that's
still on our list to add. You should be able to use the editor to add a
reasonable approximation of it until we do.
