Currently if you disable hero points for the bonus feat in configure hero, and save, then reopen you have to recheck the disable box everytime for the bonus feat. Anyway to make it so it saves that setting to the character .por?

Thassilonian Specialist isnt allowing 2 specialized slots per spell level (both having to be same spell for each spell level). Also it would be nice if it said what the Prohibited schools were in reminder text somewhere under the description, and if it showed up on the class.

There is a Set Defaults button on that page. Just select the sources you want, select Set Default and then anytime you create a character it wil use that settings.

I just tried creating a new blank character. I turned on the Hero Point rules, then checked the anti-hero box, and closed the configure hero form. The character did have the 1 feat from antihero and no other feat slots, and I saved that character. I then started a new character, then loaded the saved character. He still had the one feat slot from antihero.
Are there any other steps I should go through to try to reproduce your error, because I cannot currently replicate it. |

Wait - is this not about the value changing when you reopen a saved portfolio, but about whether you can control whether that checkbox starts checked or unchecked when you create a new character?
There's not an option for users to change the default setting for that - that checkbox is not within the Configure Hero Settings section (the right hand side), so it is not one of the things covered by the defaults for that section. |

It appears that if you check the Advanced Hero Points rule in the configure hero Change Settings window, then set that as default settings, that it won't reload the portfolios with the antihero option enabled after you have saved it. So it appears that I'd have to manually check the Advanced Hero Points rule each time for each character to avoid this.

Are you talking about the fact that once you set the defaults on the configure hero settings window, those aren't retro-actively applied to characters you created before setting those defaults? That's intentional - people who play in both a home game and in organized play, or in two separate home games might want very different settings for different characters, so we don't want them to have to change lots of settings every time they re-open a character.

Here is what I did. 1. I made a new portfolio. 2. I enabled Hero Points under The Advanced Players Guide in hero settings. 3. The Disable Hero Points Box is now there above starting gold to the left of the hero settings box in the configure hero window. 4. I check that box to disable hero points for that character to take another feat. 5. I save the portfolio. 6. It will reload the same portfolio fine, and keep the antihero box checked, UNLESS I set the defaults to have hero points enabled under the APG section in the hero settings, It will NOT open the portfolio with the antihero box checked, and I have to manually recheck the disable hero points box to enable the extra feat unless I use default game settings. So something about making Hero Points enabled in the default settings overrides the check box to disable them per character for the extra feat.
