PLEASE HELP!!!
I'm relatively new to AB and recently updated to 40k3_v2p31 for the first time using the "Check for Updates" button included in the program. Since then, when trying to start AB, WH40K is not listed in the game system selection. All of my saved 40K rosters are still on my computer, but it won't allow me to load them OR create any new ones! When I try to "Import files" from the main screen, I select the most recent download and click import. It states that "Import was successful and the new data files are ready for use. Select the appropriate game system from the list presented." However, the only systems listed are "Battlefleet Gothic" (downloaded when I first got the program, but never use), and "Tutorial." I thought maybe the file I downloaded was corrupted, so I redownloaded it from a different source. Unfortunately, the problem remains. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong and, more importantly, what I must do to correct this problem. Thanks, ANTHONY |

Most likely you are on AB 2.1, hit the Check for files button and look for
AB2.2a. Download and install that (it will ask you if you want to install it after downloading...very easy). After that, you should be all set. I had the same problem when the new datafiles were released. Hope that helps TP -----Original Message----- From: ASPhelps@mediaone.net [mailto:ASPhelps@mediaone.net] Sent: Monday, August 20, 2001 3:37 PM To: ab@support.wolflair.com Subject: [AB] Serious Update Problems PLEASE HELP!!! That fixed it! Thanks for the assist.
I'm now experiencing one more problem that I'm not sure is related or not. When I select "Print Roster" or "Print Summary" it gives me the following error msg: "Program has performed as illegal operation and will be shut down." I know it sounds like a system problem, but it has never done this before, and I only get it when I try to print things in AB! Anyone else experiencing this or similar problems? --- In armybuilder@y..., "DiPonio" <DiPonio@v...> wrote: > Most likely you are on AB 2.1, hit the Check for files button and look for > AB2.2a. I would suggest totally uninstalling AB, reboot, and then reinstall. If
that doesn't fix it...I'm not sure from there. Hope this also helps =] TP -----Original Message----- From: ASPhelps@mediaone.net [mailto:ASPhelps@mediaone.net] Sent: Monday, August 20, 2001 4:02 PM To: ab@support.wolflair.com Subject: Re: [AB] Serious Update Problems That fixed it! If that doesn't work, email support@wolflair.com with as much information about the problem as possible. There's a Mysterious Printing Bug around, which means that some people get crash problems while most are totally unaffected; as such, it's quite difficult to reproduce and fix. -- Colen 'Skrillboy' McAlister, demandred@skrill.org http://www.skrill.org/, http://www.incompetence-central.co.uk/ 1 = 2, for large values of 1. |

Please make sure that you have up-to-date drivers for your printer
installed. If you are using older drivers or drivers for a slightly different printer model, you might run into this problem. You should be able to download the latest drivers for free from the web-site of your printer manufacturer.
