Hi

I'm creating data files manually using text files and am having a
problem. Does anyone have an example text data file they could post
so I can take a look?

Thanks

Pete

Just open any datafile in ABCreator and use the 'Save to text' option in
the file menu; that'll generate a perfect text file from which you can work.

If you have any specific problems with things not working, just post them
to this group and I'm sure someone will give you a hand.

Yeah - tried that but when the file is locked (such as the Warmaster files I
have), you can't save it as a text file...

I'm having trouble determining the composition, category and type fields. As
I understand it, the composition field has to be in the Compositions
definition, the category in the Units definition and the type can be any old
text - is that right?

Thanks

Pete

Try downloading the 40k files - they aren't locked, and should provide
examples for every situation you need.

I believe so, although the type must be up to 10 alphanumeric characters
long (i.e. no spaces).
