Thank you. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't simply hiding from me.

I can not figure out how to add mythic ranks to monsters the same as atomicb. I tried to make a template to add the mythic sub-type to a monster but it didnt work the way I thought it would. Anyone know how to add mythic rank to stock monsters?

Thanks.

I have not looked allot yet but in the playtest one I did I had a simple Mythic Template that would apply the Mythic Subtype. Then their was an adjustment to adjust the mythic Rank of the monster. I know the adjustment didn't get added but will be.

Is their no simple mythic template available?

No simple mythic template, looks like they use the mythic subtype. There doesn't seem any way to apply the mythic subtype to a creature.

Attached to this post is a Simple Mythic Template that when added to any monster makes it Mythic. Then on the "Mythic" tab is a selection for setting the Mythic Rank of the monster which by default is MR 1.

With this I was able to create the following:

Mythic Dire Bear CR 8/MR 2
Mythic Bear, Dire
N Large Animal (mythic)
Init +5; Senses low-light vision, scent; Perception +12
--------------------
Defense
--------------------
AC 20, touch 10, flat-footed 19 (+1 Dex, -1 size, +10 natural)
hp 162 (10d8+82)
Fort +12 (+4 vs. hot or cold environments and to resist damage from suffocation), Ref +8, Will +6
DR 5/epic
--------------------
Offense
--------------------
Speed 40 ft.
Melee Bite (Mythic Bear, Dire) +14 (1d8+8/x2) and
. . Claw x2 (Mythic Bear, Dire) +14 x2 (1d6+8 plus grab/x2)
Space 10 ft.; Reach 5 ft.
Special Attacks mythic power (2/day, surge 1d6)
--------------------
Statistics
--------------------
Str 27, Dex 13, Con 21, Int 2, Wis 12, Cha 10
Base Atk +7; CMB +16 (+20 Grappling); CMD 27 (31 vs. Trip)
Feats Endurance, Improved Initiative, Iron Will, Run, Skill Focus (Perception)
Skills Acrobatics +1 (+5 jump, +5 to jump with a running start), Fly -1, Perception +12, Stealth -3, Swim +20 (+24 to resist nonlethal damage from exhaustion); Racial Modifiers +4 Swim
Languages
SQ surge (1d6)
Other Gear 150 GP
--------------------
Special Abilities
--------------------
Damage Reduction (5/epic) You have Damage Reduction against all except Epic attacks (weapons with a +6 bonus).
Endurance +4 to a variety of fort saves, skill and ability checks. Sleep in L/M armor with no fatigue.
Grab: Claw (Large) (Ex) You can start a grapple as a free action if you hit with the designated weapon.
Low-Light Vision See twice as far as a human in low light, distinguishing color and detail.
Mythic Power (2/day, Surge 1d6) (Su) Gain uses of Mythic Power
Run Run 5x your speed in light/medium armor or 4x speed in heavy armor and keep Dex when running.
Scent (Ex) Detect opponents within 15+ feet by sense of smell.
Surge (1d6) Spend a use of mythic power to add the roll of a die to a d20 you just rolled

There are new fields on the Race tab in the editor to add the Mythic subtype and Mythic Ranks. I don't think you approach this by changing an existing monster into Mythc.. you make a new Race that is inherently Mythic.

That would be a bit of a waste of time. Just cause I want a Mythic Dire Bear I am not about to use the editor each time to do exactly what a template can do. Much easier to apply the mythic template.

But of course if you wanted to you could use the editor to make a new custom monster as you would have more control.

Thanks! This looks just about perfect.

Edit: Actually, I may be unclear about something. It doesn't seem to be keeping with the math of 2 Mythic Ranks equaling 1 CR. For instance, I loaded a CR 20 Maharaji Rakshasa and added 10 mythic ranks, for a final CR of 23. I've tried it across several creatures and it seems to be: 0-4 MR = +1 CR, 5-8 MR = +2 CR, 9-10 MR = +3 CR.

The only Mythic templates that I have seen are under the Class tab. Agile, Divine, and several others. Just search for "mythic". But there is not generic Mythic that I saw, which I believe is what you are talking about.

To add just a Mythic tier to a creature, it needs at least one class level, and then add a Mythic tier. It requires a path, though. Additionally, it will not show this if you have selected a mythic template as it overrides the tier with Mythic Monster Abilities.

Evil wins because good rolls poorly .... or the players are not paying enough attention to the game.
