Hero labs & Microsoft Surface

I'm debating on getting a Surface for Tabletop Gaming.
I want to be sure that I'll not going to have allot of issues with hero labs and possibly army builder on A 64gb Surface.

Do you Recommend Win 8 over RT?

Any Info would be grand, Thanks.

Because it runs on ARM instead of Intel architecture, Windows RT doesn't support any normal desktop apps not already bundled in. Get the non-RT version if you want to be able to run Hero Lab and, well, pretty much anything else.
