You can set up names, in the manage names dialogue, to have different priorities in the linker. It is also possible to set a name to always be linked or to never be linked in the same dialogue.

If a name or a variation of a name occurs in more than one place setting the priority can be useful so that the most likely link target is at the top of the list. However setting one of those to always be linked would take human intervention out of the operation. That might not always be what you desire.

This is something that's very high on the priority list. However, it's actually significantly more complicated than I'm guessing anyone here on the list is assuming. It's much more complex than I first thought it would be, as it has tendrils across numerous aspects of the product. So it's not something that's made it in yet. But it's absolutely something that is high up on the list.

I do appreciate that you're working on it. While everyone on the forums learns the RW workflow that avoids the problem I'm sure it is a source of frustration for many new users, it was the first thing I asked about on here and I've seen the question many times since.
