Scouts sergeant w/ sniper rifle and term honors

(AB v3.1, 40k rules V1.23)

The codex states that all members of a space marine scout squad, including sergeant, can have a sniper rifle. This works in AB as long as I don't give the sergeant terminator honors. Giving him terminator honors invalidates the sniper rifle as a weapon choice.

Am I misunderstanding a rule about terminator honors and the armory, or is there a way to give the sergeant a sniper rifle that I'm not seeing?

It looks like they accidently re-introduced a variant of an old error. You ought to report this at www.ab40k.org - which is where the 40k file maintainers coordinate their work.
