Sorry if this has been answered before but I couldn't find any previous references...

When trying to assign something in the "Value?" dropdown box of a Bootstrap, the values 5 and 10 are both missing.

Am I missing something totally obvious?

Thanks!

I didn't respond because I have no idea what you are doing.

Are you trying to set a value as a tag?
Instead of a field?

I have found this anywhere I try to add a "Value?" to a Bootstrap.
However, for example...
In the editor, I am creating a new Race.
The race has Darkvision 10'.
Under "Special Abilities" I add Darkvision.
I want to use the "Value?" dropdown to specify 10'.
(See attachement)
Under the dropdown, the values for 5 and 10 are both missing.

See what I mean?

I see what you're talking about. I think the confusion (at least for me) is that you are in the Special Abilities edit window. So, what you did is add darkvision as a special ability and are trying to make it 10'. As far as I can tell, its a bug that 5 and 10 aren't there, but I'm not sure. At the very least, it does seem rather curious.

You can click on the tags button (it is to the right side) rather than the dropdown and enter "Value" in the first field and "10" in the second field. That should work.

Thanks for the suggestion...
Unfortunately, this solution didn't really work:

For example, I have created FlameSkull as a new race and it has Damage Reduction 5/Good. So, I have added the "Damage Reduction, Good" special ability to the race. However, if I the click the Tags button and manually enter "Value" and "5", when I click OK, the value in the "Value?" dropdown box has changed automatically to "maximum bonus" and the Special Ability no longer is displayed when I build a Hero (NPC) with that race. If I use the dropdown box to select an actual number as the "Value?" then "Damage Reduction #/good" reappears on the Hero with the number I selected. The problem is that the numbers 5 & 10 are missing from the drop-down list.

Any ideas?

You could try setting the value by clicking on the field button and entering the same. Or you could try an eval script using the macro #applydr[xDamRdMag, 10], changing Mag to Good as appropriate.

It does sound like a bug though, probably should post something about it there as well.
