I keep asking for this, and I think I have been told it is on the list, but
it still hasn't happened, and it doesn't seem like it would be all that hard to do at all: I wish each game system would keep track of its own last deck directory. Actually, as I type this, I had another idea. When opening a deck, automatically load (or have a set-able option to do so), put [<gamesystem>]* in the file name (so Magic the gathering would have [magic]* initially). This filter all the decks for other game systems out (assuming they were created with the standard prefix, which is why I am suggesting it is a set-able option). I would like to see the various dialog boxes (especially the one that shows card images) to be modeless. The image view in the test hand draw-er would also be cool but not a big priority with me. -- Geoffrey DeWan gdewan@prairienet.org ------------------------ Yahoo! I'm pretty sure this is on the list of things to do, it just hasn't taken precedence over anything yet - a lot of people, such as yourself, would like this change, but other people probably would not. And that means making it a configurable setting, which is more work, etc. It's there, but so far other things have beaten it onto the feature list. >Actually, as I type this, I had another idea. You can already use the 'Add Game Prefix When Saving Decks' option to add this prefix to decks when you save them; we'll see if we can make it add the prefix when loading decks, too. >I would like to see the various dialog boxes (especially the one that shows >card images) to be modeless. This would be a *lot* of work. May I ask why? >The image view in the test hand draw-er would also be cool but not a big >priority with me. We'll put this on the list of things to do. May I ask why? What mainly prompted this was I wanted to be able to have card images up and be able to click on cards in the deck/inventory to see the picture quickly. If the info boxes at the bottom could be made to show the pics, that would be cool also. ------------------------ Yahoo! The Ctrl-D shortcut is your friend >If the info boxes at the bottom could be made to show the pics, >that would be cool also. I don't think that would work very well; the info windows are quite short and quite wide, unlike virtually all the card / model images out there. If they were shown, they'd either be so small they'd be unreadable, or cut off 1/3 of the way down. -- Colen McAlister (colen@wolflair.com) Lone Wolf Development www.wolflair.com ------------------------ Yahoo! You can dismiss the dialog with 'esc' or 'enter' or even 'space', so adding Ctrl-D wouldn't really be that much of an improvement (and we'd have to do the same thing in several other places for consistency). Is using esc/enter/space that much of a difference? Thanks, -- Colen McAlister (colen@wolflair.com) Lone Wolf Development www.wolflair.com ------------------------ Yahoo! It requires me to move my hand. I don't know about other people, but I
find when I am trying to look at a bunch of stuff quickly, all that extra motion really disrupts the flow of what I am doing.
