Something I've run into that I don't think RealmWorks handles very well right now are larger spaces which deserve more than a pin, instead encompassing some shape on the image.

Think something like the HTML map tag, but perhaps with nice semi-transparent colors or something similar (either always on or 'on mouseover').

Some use case examples:
* Playing a game set on Earth. I have a Smart Image map of the United States of America and I make a shape for the State of Texas which links to my RealmWorks Texas topic. I also could have pins for Austin, Houston, Dallas, etc.
* My players are in WaterDeep in Forgotten Realms. I'd like my smart image to display (and link to) the various wards ( http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Waterdeep#Layout )

We've definitely thought about doing something like this, and may at some point in the future.

One possible workaround you can use is to create such a map with transparent shapes in a program like Photoshop or Paint.net (which is free). Then stick pins to this map indicating just the areas/regions/city wards, etc. Basically the idea is to have dedicated maps for different purposes (points of interest vs. regions, etc)
