Best way to overhaul the weapons as a whole?

I am aware that the Authoring Kit is for whole new systems, it was just something I wondered about since we are, as you said, talking about adding rather fundamental to the core system.

And yes, you're right. There's only one weapon with this 2d3 roll anyway, so it won't destory the DM's overhaul to pieces if I end up missing it while playing.
