hi,
I was just wondering if there was a way that the "test hand" screen can be modified to allow another window for the purpose placing cards that are removed from the top of the deck at the start of play? In duel masters (and pokemon, for another point of reference) you must place the first 5 cards from your deck face down on the table before the game begins. they're known as shields. While I am aware I could just lay all of the cards i draw in my opening hand down and draw 5 more individual cards as my hand, I thought adding a window specifically for shields might help vizualize the deck more effeciently. I suppose the easiest way to do it would be to have two windows for "cards in play." This would allow my play area to stay clear of the 5 original cards, and therefore be less cluttered. thanks, Chris ------------------------ Yahoo! I've put this request on the todo list. Please be aware, however, that CV
is a generic tool that has to adapt to all the different games being published. So we can't add features specifically for one game system. We have to figure out a way to generalize the mechanic and implement it such that it can be used for all the different games that use something remotely similar. And that's not an easy task. :-) -Rob At 08:21 AM 5/13/2004 +0000, you wrote: >hi, > >I was just wondering if there was a way that the "test hand" screen >can be modified to allow another window for the purpose placing >cards that are removed from the top of the deck at the start of play? > >In duel masters (and pokemon, for another point of reference) you >must place the first 5 cards from your deck face down on the table >before the game begins. they're known as shields. > >While I am aware I could just lay all of the cards i draw in my >opening hand down and draw 5 more individual cards as my hand, I >thought adding a window specifically for shields might help >vizualize the deck more effeciently. >I suppose the easiest way to do it would be to have two windows >for "cards in play." >This would allow my play area to stay clear of the 5 original cards, >and therefore be less cluttered. > >thanks, >Chris --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rob Bowes (rob@wolflair.com) (650) 588-8252 Lone Wolf Development www.wolflair.com ------------------------ Yahoo!
