Anybody know how to handle item sets?

For instance, my lvl 16 Deva Avenger has two pieces of the armor of Ayrkashna which grants
Fire resistance equal to my Astral Resistance my deva has.

Yet my fire resistance on my character sheet is the fire resistance my +3 Cloak of survival has... I looked at character adjustments, but I don't see a way to use them to add a resistance.

I looked for Ayrkashna armor in both magic and the armory tabs, but I can't find it.

Assuming you mean you didn't find the pieces in the builder:

If it helps, I found pieces of the armor set. For instance I found the Armor of Essence Inviolate (using the magic armor tool in the armor) and the Sash of Ceaseless Vitality (under magic items), which are supposed to be part of the set.

Otherwise (you have the pieces, but they aren't working properly):

No idea, besides reporting it as a bug.

Yes I have the armor of essence inviolate and a sickle of evil undone.

It just shows my fire resist as 5

Are the two items providing the Fire Resistance Resist 5, or is one of them Resist 10?
I am asking because the bonuses do not stack. Item bonuses are not supposed to stack in 4e.

I am glad you brought this up though, since no one in my group plays divine characters right now.

The cloak of survival provides resist fire 5

As I said in the original post, the two pieces of the armor set grant me fire resistance equal to my radiant resistance as a deva. In this case 1/2 my level (16) + 5 = 13 radiant resistance so 13 fire resistance.

ok. I just wanted to make sure on this cause I know magic item bonuses don't stack. Bonuses of the same type do not stack at all in 4th edition. I have never seen this armor though either.

It does sound pretty cool.

It rocks on my deva avenger... 13 fire/necrotic/radiant resistance... at lvl 16

I got into one fight where I was blinded, dazed, and had something else to add another -2 untyped to hit on me.

Damage taken for the whole fight: 2hp. The one time the DM Ghetto critted me with the necrotic attack. the rest of the time I kept ignoring the damage... it was hilarious... I felt like a defender or something.

As long as your having fun thats all that matters.

My players are not allowed to play Deva characters because they're extinct in Dark Sun. I kept my Dark Sun campaigns true to the original material, even for rolling ability scores. I cut races that were known to be extinct due to the actions of the champions of Rajaat. My players love it though.

I'm just normally playing LFR. So Deva's are in... my particular one is an Avenger of Kalemvor... Who happens to be a convert from Tempus. She has a weird affinity for collecting the heads of those she kills who annoyed her in battle.

We had a thri kreen monk that cooked all his hated enemies. The party being new to dark sun did not realize they were eating what they killed for many months of playing the game...
