Hello,

i created some house rules with the editor, which are working fine so far.
I am now playing in a different group with different house rules, which i would like to implement as well. But it seems there is no way to disable the existing house rules for the new characters?

Thanks for your help.

If all the house rules you've created were new items, then on each of the creations you've made, look at the very end of the editor tab for that item. There will be an option named "Sources".

There, you can create a new source. Once you've created the source on your first item, use "Test Now!" on that item. Then, you can go to each of the other items you've created and add that same source to them, too.

Now, when you create characters, the new source you've created will appear in the configure hero settings (ctrl-k to re-open that form for an existing character). So for this campaign, you would use that source, and for the other campaign, you would not.

If you made more extensive changes than just adding new content, like making replacement items or hiding things, you can use the "Duplicate Game System" option in the Tools menu to create a second copy of this game system. The .user files you created with your new content will not be copied to the duplicate unless you move the files yourself.

Assign each house rule to a source. "Xorex's House Rules", for example. Then, on the "Configure Hero" window, you can check or uncheck that source.

Alternatively, you can clone the game, and give the clone a different name. "Xorex's Pathfinder" or "Xorex's Shadowrun". Then have your house rules apply to the clone, and not to the original version.
