Bug: Audio Enhancements & Capacity There seems to be some confusion as to audio and visual enhancements and capacity in Hero Lab. According to the changes document (http://www.shadowrun4.com/wp-content...4A_changes.pdf), all enhancements to glasses, contacts, or earbuds should have a capacity cost of 1, except for Ultrasond:
"All Vision and Audio Enhancements now have a Capacity cost of 1 for the purposes of integration in Imaging Devices and Sensors, except Ultrasound which has a cost of 2." |

Adjustments to defence not being added.
If you specialize in dodge it doesn't get reflected in your defence totals for either melee or ranged, neither does Reakt. I believe that the dodge specialties have been noted before but I don't think Reakt has. |

When customising Earbuds, Headphones, and similar Audio devices, "Audio Enhancement" and "Select Sound Filter" both are charging [Rating*1] Capacity points, when their cost should be a flat [1]. |

According to that changes document, the only enhancement that should show up as more than one capacity is Ultrasound (which isn't an audio option anyway). Testing it with a rating 3 select sound filter instead of the rating 3 audio enhancement produces the same result. Last edited by Dinendae; July 16th, 2012 at 08:39 PM. |

The rulebook's text supercedes the change document that explains how the previous edition was changed to the current edition, in my opinion, and on pg 333 of SR4A, the intro paragraph to the Audio Enhancements chapter says "Each enhancement costs 1 Capacity (per rating)."

BUG; Karma Gen: "Changeling"
Changeling is not orking the way it should. The Positive and Negative metagenic qualities are not being added together properly. Specifically: I pick up Changeling II. Under BP generation, I would choose 20BP of positive Metagenics and 10BP of negative metagenics (for example, Metagenic Optimisation +20, and Neoteny -10), matching the Changeling quality's cost of 10BP. This would count as only 10 of my allowed 35 BP in Positive Qualities. The same thing, under Karma generation however, is not working. I am charged 20 Karma .... but only get to select a 20 Karma positive Metagenic, and a 10 karma negative metagenic. If I pick up Metagenic Improvement +40 and Neoteny -20, the result is that HL claims I have spent 40 of my possible 70 Karma on positive qualities, and that I've gained 10 of my 70 possible points from negative qualities. ... Logically, I should be allowed to choose 40 Karma of positives, and 20 Karma of negatives. BP values for Qualities anywhere in the process should be doubled - including the +/- allowances for Changeling. (As a temporary workaround, I have had to (a) increase the limits for Negative Qualities by 10 points, (b) increase the limit for positive qualities by 20 points, and (c) decrease the amount of points spent by 20. Inelegant, awkward, and generally just messy. ) Last edited by _Pax_; July 18th, 2012 at 09:03 PM. |

BUG; Karmagen & "breakable" Skill Groups; Specialisation cost
HL is not assessing a cost for adding a Specialisation to a skill bought as part of a Skill Group, when building with Karma. It does assess a cost under the same rule, when using BP. |

BUG: Fake License customisation
When adding a fake license you have to customise it before you add it to your character. I accidentally clicked add first and spent ages trying to remove the validation error. Customising it after the fact didn't help. I couldn't remove the validation error until I 'assigned' it to a character, and even then it ended up in the matrix section with no reference to the identity it belonged too. I didn't have any issue in customising it before adding it, but afterward it just wasn't possible. |

BUG: Permanent Adjustments to lifestyles
This may not be a bug, but considering the nature of permanent adjustments I logging it here as one. As part of the game our GM has awarded all players who wrote character backgrounds a without cost permanent lifestyle increases by one level (for me that was from middle to high) however I cannot record that I have a half cost High lifestyle in Hero Lab. I attempted to use the adjustment 'Item Cost' to change the recurring cost of my lifestyle, but the lifestyle itself does not appear on the list of items that can be adjusted (but strangely the identity itself does). I'm assuming this permanent adjustment item is only meant to adjust once off expenses, so perhaps a new item could be added specifically to adjust lifestyle costs. |
