+1 to printing/PDF output.
I understand that your emphasis is on the game table, but for "Realm" or world building, I want to be able to output the data in a hard form, whether it ever actually gets printed on actual paper. For example, I'm building my Story Bible, this is the reference document for players and designers working on the world and will never be used during the game. This would give the Realm Works software a broader application and usefulness IMHO. Cheers, Darth Frodo Edit #1: You know, the more I think of this the more I realize that I don't want to take advantage of RW's world building awesomeness if I can't export it somehow. I realize the difficulty of making each type of category exportable, including hyperlinks, storyboards, etc.. But if I enter information, LOTS of information, then I want to be able to see it in a cohesive format. I will have to meditate upon this to re-imagine how I can make use of RW since I don't use a computer at the gaming table. Edit #2: I'm a freaking GENIUS! /ahem I realized it would suit my needs, and probably of others as well, if RW could export to HTML. I seem to recollect that HeroLab did the same thing before you added printing and PDF functionality. +1 for HTML Export - [earworm] I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Another +1 to print/PDF export.
I love the power that RealmWorks brings to me from a GM perspective. However, I need to have some way of putting content into the hands of the players when desired and I'm not looking to stand up additional monitors or laptops in-session. Last edited by Azgulor; April 24th, 2014 at 12:28 PM. |

You're assuming the player portal isn't going to be smartphone friendly. Granted, that's not going to work as well as a monitor in some situations. However, my experience is that a solid majority of players have a smart device / tablet.

My point is that my primary use of Realm Works is not for at-the-table use, but for developing a Story Bible for my game world, including adventures. So I want to be able to have output, even if it's just electronic such as HTML or PDF.

+1 for PDF/HTML export.
Vargr Deputy Calendar Champion Legend has it, that the Tarrasque is a huge fighting beast, perpetually hungry. Sleet entered History when he managed to get on the back of a Tarrasque only to be ridden out of History shortly after. Using Realm Works, Worldographer (Hexographer 2), LibreOffice, Daz3D Studio, pen & paper for the realm World of Temeon and the system LEFD - both homebrewed. |

I'd like to see printing/reporting as well, for much the same reasons as darthfrodo.

Wow, Imho printing / export functions are basic tools that should be available. If I can get it IN RW I should be able to get it out as well. And printing would be the bare minimum actually. (PDF / XML / TXT expect would be nice additions as well). THough users can workaround with some pdf printer... |
