Is there any way to create a windows association between .rst files and
Army Builder?

Thanks.

I'm afraid not. Sorry.

Actually, contrary to what Colen says, you can. However associating
rosters with army builder will not cause your roster to be loaded when
army builder starts, but it will start army builder (and then you can
do the standard file->open roster deal to open your roster).

To associater .rst files with army builder you must
1)Open a Windows Explorer
2)Choose VIEW from the toolbar, and select FOLDER OPTIONS
3)Choose the FILE TYPES Tab
4)Click the NEW TYPE Button
5)For Description of type put something witty like ARMY BUILDER ROSTER
6)For Associated Extension use .RST
7)Down below the Actions box, click on NEW
8)When the window pops open in the Action box type open (lowercase is
fine)
9)Then Click the browse button, fine wherever your ARMYBLDR.EXE is
located (mine is handily stored in C:\Program Files\ArmyBuilder) select
it and click on the OK box/
10)This should return you to the previous window, click CLOSE
11)Again, returned to a even more previous window, click CLOSE again
12)Enjoy being able to launch Army Builder by double clicking on
rosters no matter which zip disk or hard drive they are stored on!

As a secondary thought, it may be handy if at some point (say AB 2.0)
Army builder would open rosters, and their associated data files any
time you open a roster this way. I see that it would require some
redesign, as currently you also have to completely exit AB in order to
change game sets since all that information is gathered at program load
time instead of after AB is residing and running in memory. Just keep
this idea in mind when heading to the next version Rob, thanks.

Well, there is that, I suppose.

I've got a shortcut to Army Builder hanging around on my quicklaunch
bar, which works quite well.

I asked Rob about this some time ago, and he said there were "issues" of
some sort when you registered file types with Windows. Presumably it's
not too easy.
