I'm experimenting with making special abilities, and have created several and saved them in a data file.

I wanted to move them to a different data file. I created the new data file, used the 'New (Copy)' button, and gave them new Unique Ids. So far, so good.

The problem is, I really liked the Unique Ids from the original data file. I deleted the original 'experimental' data file, thinking that would clear the way to rename the Specials in the new data file with their original Unique Ids. But when I test them with the new Ids I get the following messages:

Thing 'rBnCon_DD' - Contains duplicates of tag 'rBnCon_DD' in group 'SpcReplace'
Thing 'rBnCon_DD' - Contains duplicates of tag 'rBnCon_DD' in group 'thingid'

It looks to me like I need to delete the old tags in those groups. I thought deleting the original data file would do that but apparantly not. Is there a way to take care of this?

Thanks in advance,
Mowgli

If you delete an entire file, you *must* reload the complete set of data files before trying to do anything further. This can be accomplished easily via the "Quick Reload" mechanism, which is triggered by <ctrl+R>.

That did the trick! Thanks, Rob.
